Jewish Events
Each student in Jewish Living class will be attending two Jewish community events. Attendance at each of these events along with a 250 word (minimum) write-up about the event is worth 10% of your mark in this course.

3) Scholar in Residence Weekend
Rabbi Dr. Charles Grysman is the spiritual leader of the Zichron
Yisroel Congregation of Associated Hebrew Schools and the Rabbi in Residence of
Associated Hebrew Schools of Toronto. He is also a member of the Talmud faculty
of Yeshivat Or Chaim and is involved in counseling and therapy. He received his
rabbinic ordination from Ner Israel Yeshiva and Rabbi Gedalia Felder zts”l.
Lori Grysman has a Bachelor of Arts
degree from the University of Manitoba, a teaching certificate from the
University of Manitoba, and a Master of Arts degree in Hebrew Literature from
New York University. She is proud to have been in the first Gemara class taught
to women at Stern College, and was profoundly influenced by her Torah studies
in Israel with Nechama Leibowitz, z”l. In addition to conducting a weekly Torah
class for women, she lectures in a variety of adult education venues in Toronto
and teaches at Netivot Hatorah and Upanat Orot schools in Toronto.
